Вот, looking back to my writing and translating experience I gotta say:
At first it was hard to formulate sentences (even on forums – I have so poor experience of real communication and I was more then distant from ‘feeling free’ with people who I have never seen). But a half of year on my favorite forum, looking after other user I were a little changed. Then I’ve started to translate. O how hard it was a the beginning! But at the second book it start to be much easier. Third book was hard by itself – huge value, interesting but ‘heavy’ author style…Fourth – as a ‘song’
After shift to Kiev I felt necessity of own writing. At first – it was hard too. I were thinking ‘how to say’ again. But once I relaxed, forgot about anybody who may read and started write to my self. Only me feelings and my point of view, no matter who may read it and answer on. At first it was only walk-notes. But later, walking, I’ve made in mind my own story (about smiling – in Russian).
After almost a year (and big-letters-walk-notes-and-creatives) I felt other necessity – to write in English. Yea, I felt this necessity as far I did my second translation, but I have no experience to write my own and especially to write smth in English. I Kiev I worked in company with English-speaking partners. I write docs in…I improved my English enough and start to thinking in.
It’s easier to me to write about feelings in English (‘cause of my fiction translations). And once I’ve wrote about…and then again – it already was my own story (on demand of one of my best friends with whom I was in debt). Than some notes and again – about what I feel.
Now I’m writing in English and it’s so easy! To write all of this is much easier in English than in Russian.
